How to crack screening test in SSB?

SSB consist of 2 stages, first stage is called as screening test and second stage consist of 3 important test knows as Psychology test, Group Testing Officers (GTO) Test and personal interview.

What is Screening Test in SSB?

Screening test in SSB is a test which is used to sort out the candidates that are suitable for the next phase of testing, it is an elimination test. Screening Test comprises of two tests, these tests are named as Officer Intelligence rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test.

What is Officer Intelligence Rating Test?

This test is known as OIR Test aimed to judge the Intelligence of a candidate. In this test you will be given Verbal and Non-Verbal test booklets which you have to solve in the given time. There is No Negative Marking In Verbal and Non-Verbal tests so try to attempt all questions.

What is PPDT Test ?

PPDT commonly known as picture perception and discussion test, as the name suggests, you need to write a story on the picture shown, narrate it and then discuss among group members to make a common story. PPDT test conducted on the first day of the SSB selection procedure along with OIR (Officers Intelligence Rate) test. A blurred picture is shown on the screen for 30 seconds and you have to make a story on it within 2–3 minutes with a main character and proper story plot. Then in a group of 10 or more you narrate your story and then discuss with your group to come up with the common story. It tests your mental ability, communication skills and confidence.

PPDT Tips
1- write a good story which has head and tail and match with the picture shown to you.
2- Be loud enough while narrating the story
3- be confident about your story
4- keep your story simple during narration
